Description
Aqua Fast Flush is a growing service company based in Southern Ontario, renowned for supporting infrastructure and maintenance projects with reliable, fast-response service. We pride ourselves on maintaining our equipment to the highest standards, ensuring our fleet is always ready to meet the demands of our clients. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dedicated Lead Fleet Mechanic (310T) to oversee the maintenance and repair of our mixed fleet, including vacuum trucks, flushers, and pickups.
This role is pivotal in keeping our fleet operational and minimizing downtime. You will take ownership of preventative maintenance, manage shop organization, and play a key role in mentoring a junior mechanic. Your expertise and leadership will directly impact our service reliability and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead all maintenance and repairs for a mixed fleet of heavy-duty trucks and service equipment
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical systems across the fleet
- Own and manage preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime
- Organize the shop, manage tools, and optimize workflow
- Track repairs, inspections, and service records for compliance and operational efficiency
- Coordinate parts procurement and work with external service providers as needed
- Mentor and support a junior mechanic, fostering skill development and teamwork
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Ontario 310T Truck and Coach Technician License
- Valid Ontario G driver’s license
- Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting heavy-duty truck mechanical and electrical issues
- Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing heavy-duty trucks and service equipment
- Experience owning and managing preventative maintenance schedules for a fleet
- Experience mentoring or supervising at least one junior mechanic or apprentice
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience working on Cummins, Detroit, or Paccar engines and emissions systems
- Compensation expectations within CA$100,000–CA$120,000/year
