Location: Victoria, BC (306 Burnside Road West, Victoria, BC, CA)
Schedule: Full-Time & Part-Time (Morning, Days, Nights, Weekends)
Employment Type: On-Site
Pay Rate: $20 – $24/hour (site dependent)
Training Wage: $18.50/hour

Overview

Paladin Security is currently hiring Security Guards (Mobile and Static) to support a variety of sites across Victoria, BC, including mobile patrol, retail, events, airport security, supportive housing, and more.

This role is ideal for individuals with strong customer service skills, situational awareness, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. The position may be physically demanding and requires flexibility to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients and the public
• Write clear and detailed incident, emergency, and daily reports
• Monitor and report irregularities, safety hazards, and security breaches
• Respond to emergencies and contact emergency services when required
• Provide first aid and medical response as needed
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure site safety and security
• Use radios and computer systems to communicate site activity
• Perform crowd control and manage trespassing situations

Requirements

Must Have

• Eligible to work in Canada
• Physical fitness with ability to walk for prolonged hours

Nice to Have

• Valid security licence
• Valid OFA 1 (or higher) certification
• Class 5 Driver’s License (required for Mobile Patrol roles)
• Transportation Security Clearance (TSC) for airport/port assignments
