Description
One of BC’s largest Property Management companies is looking for Accounting Clerk to join our team!
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support our Tax Services team. This role requires strong local taxation knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage structured, process-driven tasks. You will play a key role in preparing tax documentation, maintaining records, and supporting communication with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
Job Duties:
- Maintain and update tax task tracking spreadsheets
- Prepare correspondence and authorization forms to initiate tax-related tasks
- Assist in preparing and reviewing year-end adjustment worksheets
- Draft and submit correspondence, applications, and supporting documents to the CRA
- Prepare and review tax returns generated through tax software
- Organize and maintain client tax records, including filings and confirmations
- Prepare and issue tax service fee schedules and invoices
- Process billing for tax services within the accounting system
- Scan and file incoming tax-related correspondence from the CRA
- Draft emails on behalf of the Accounting Manager – Tax Service
- Organize and maintain both incoming and outgoing communications
- Support additional tax-related or clerical tasks as assigned
- Maintain positive client relations & experience
- Data entry and clerical tasks as assigned from time to time.
Requirements
- Academic background in accounting with a focus on local taxation
- Experience in taxation is preferred
- Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and customer service skills
- Able to work under pressure and meet important external deadlines
- Takes initiative and works independently
- Ability to function as a team player
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with internal and external clients
- Minimum 1 - 2 years experience in similar background
