Description

One of BC’s largest Property Management companies is looking for Accounting Clerk to join our team!

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support our Tax Services team. This role requires strong local taxation knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage structured, process-driven tasks. You will play a key role in preparing tax documentation, maintaining records, and supporting communication with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

Job Duties:

  • Maintain and update tax task tracking spreadsheets
  • Prepare correspondence and authorization forms to initiate tax-related tasks
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing year-end adjustment worksheets
  • Draft and submit correspondence, applications, and supporting documents to the CRA
  • Prepare and review tax returns generated through tax software
  • Organize and maintain client tax records, including filings and confirmations
  • Prepare and issue tax service fee schedules and invoices
  • Process billing for tax services within the accounting system
  • Scan and file incoming tax-related correspondence from the CRA
  • Draft emails on behalf of the Accounting Manager – Tax Service
  • Organize and maintain both incoming and outgoing communications
  • Support additional tax-related or clerical tasks as assigned
  • Maintain positive client relations & experience
  • Data entry and clerical tasks as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

  • Academic background in accounting with a focus on local taxation
  • Experience in taxation is preferred
  • Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and customer service skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet important external deadlines
  • Takes initiative and works independently
  • Ability to function as a team player
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with internal and external clients
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years experience in similar background
