Description

About Us

C‑Era Property Management & Realty, An Associa® Company, provides property management services for communities across Calgary. We value clear communication, dependable processes, and a supportive work environment. Our goal is to help residents and Community Managers receive accurate and timely information.

We believe people do their best work when expectations are clear, workloads are manageable, and support is available. If you appreciate structure, consistency, and teamwork, you may find this role a good fit.

About the role - Property Accountant (full-time, Calgary)

We are looking for a Property Accountant with experience in full‑cycle accounting and financial reporting. This role is well‑suited for people who are detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable working with numbers and systems.

This role is one of several Property Accountants in our small accounting team. The work itself is best matched to a junior‑to‑mid accounting scope in larger organizations and industries. It does not include leading staff or making high‑level accounting decisions. We want candidates to have a clear picture of what the role is — and what it isn’t.

You do not need to be “outgoing” or “high‑energy.” What matters most is clear communication, accuracy, and the ability to follow established processes.

You will succeed here if you prefer

  • Clear processes
  • Defined responsibilities
  • Working with numbers and systems
  • Problem‑solving with supportive teammates

What You Will Do

You will work with financial information for multiple properties. Your tasks will include:

  • Running month‑end accruals
  • Preparing, reviewing, and delivering monthly financial statements through internal systems
  • Analyzing financial reports and supporting accounting transactions
  • Reviewing and reconciling past‑due receipts
  • Performing calculations and basic accounting analysis
  • Preparing bank reconciliations
  • Following up on outstanding items (payments, deposits, AP invoices, etc.)
  • Reviewing Accounts Payable coding
  • Preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts
  • Calculating and filing GST payments
  • Assisting auditors during client and corporate audits
  • Supporting the integration of new technology platforms
  • Completing other tasks as needed

If training or onboarding support is needed in any of these areas, we will provide it.

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Clear and respectful communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines with support and tools
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Professionalism and reliability

If you meet most—but not all—requirements, we still encourage you to apply.

Work Environment

  • Office space that is open concept, with high cubicle separations
  • Access to the office requires taking stairs to the second floor
  • Hybrid work options may be approved available after training
