The Role:
You have successfully led software developers across a wide range of experience levels and specialties. You bring deep expertise in shaping product strategies in close collaboration with cross-functional leaders. As an empathetic and results-driven leader, you have a proven ability to develop your team while consistently achieving business objectives.
Your decision-making is grounded in data, user insights, and strong product instincts. You’re a trusted partner to teams across the organization—skilled in communication, expectation management, and influencing cross-functional collaboration. You know how to scale an engineering organization, define clear roles and responsibilities, and plan effectively for growth.
You’re proficient in Agile methodologies and have successfully applied these principles to drive productivity and quality improvements. You have hands-on experience with project and issue tracking tools such as JIRA, ensuring efficient collaboration and transparency across distributed teams. You’re familiar with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitLab or Jenkins, enabling seamless, automated workflows from development to deployment.
Your background includes strong practical knowledge of version control systems like Git, as well as demonstrable experience in developing and migrating cloud-based solutions, particularly within AWS and Azure environments. You have overseen the adoption of modern development frameworks and technologies to stay at the forefront of innovation and have leveraged AI tools (such as CoPilot) to enhance delivery speed and code quality.
Experience with .NET environments and codebases would be highly beneficial.
Requirements
About You:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of proven experience as an engineering manager or senior team leader responsible for direct line management of software engineers.
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in technology leadership, software engineering and architecture, including full-stack development.
- Mandatory domain knowledge in SaaS product development and methodologies.
- Excellent levels of both written and spoken English.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
