The Field Superintendent is responsible for ensuring all contractors within their assigned area work safely and adhere to all site safety program requirements. This role involves overseeing detailed work planning, supervision of field activities, and ensuring high-quality execution of maintenance and construction tasks.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

• Ensure contractors perform work safely and in compliance with all applicable safety programs and requirements
• Review and/or develop detailed work plans in alignment with established workface planning processes
• Supervise direct field labor on mechanical and piping scopes as required, ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Oversee contractor activities related to mechanical and piping work, ensuring compliance with project specifications and contract requirements
• Inspect completed work to verify it meets required standards; identify deficiencies and ensure timely resolution
• Monitor project schedules and productivity; collaborate with contractors and operations personnel to resolve issues and remove barriers
• Review and approve daily contractor reports for labor, equipment, and materials
• Coordinate field activities between contractors and operations teams to ensure efficient execution

Requirements

  • A journeyperson ticket in Carpentry is considered an asset.
  • Experience supporting civil construction scopes in commercial or industrial environments.
  • Experience working in a brownfield construction environment is required.
  • A journeyperson ticket in Scaffolding or Carpentry is considered an asset.
