Location: Medicine Hat, AB (Project Site: Empress, AB)
Schedule: 12-hour rotating day & night shifts
Employment Type: Temporary (June 1, 2026 – November 9, 2026)
Pay Rate: CA$21/hour + mileage + per diem
Accommodation: Hotel provided during rotation (no cost)

Overview

Paladin Security is seeking dedicated and professional security personnel for a site-specific project supporting Plains Midstream Canada in Empress, Alberta. This assignment supports a major industrial facility turnaround involving critical inspections and maintenance.

This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in structured environments and want to contribute to safety during a high-activity operational period.

At the end of the assignment, Paladin may:

• Extend your assignment
• Move you to the casual pool
• Conclude employment based on business needs

Responsibilities

• Provide access control at designated site entry points
• Conduct proactive and reactive patrols to ensure site integrity
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and assistance requests professionally
• Complete detailed daily reports and documentation
• Investigate routine incidents and escalate findings appropriately
• Communicate clearly with staff, contractors, and visitors
• Enforce site security policies and procedures

Requirements

Must Have:

• Valid Alberta Security Guard License
• Ability to reliably commute to the job location
• Ability to commute to and from Empress, Alberta
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and work outdoors
• Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations

Nice to Have:

• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C
• Experience in industrial or site-based security
