The Department of Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University,
St. Joseph's Health Care London, and London Health Sciences Centre are seeking physicians for full-time clinical
academic appointments at Western University. Applicants should be certified, or eligible for certification, by the
Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or College of Family Physicians of Canada Added Competence
in EmergencyMedicine or equivalent.Candidates musthave anMD,or equivalent,and must be eligible for licensure
in the province of Ontario. The successful candidates will hold a limited-term clinical academic appointment at the
rank of Assistant Professor.

The Division of Emergency Medicine currently consists of 80 diverse and progressive academic clinician educators,
administrators and researchers. The successful candidates for this position will have a record of proven ability for
teaching and will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels and to supervise graduate
trainees. The expected role includes education of fellows, residents, and medical students in Emergency
Department and Urgent Care settings. The successful candidates will have significant experience providing
excellent clinical care. The successful candidates will be expected to participate in the academic commitment of

Consideration of applicants will include an assessment of previous performance in Emergency Medicine research
and teaching. Candidates with qualifications and or previous experience in Emergency Medicine research and or
teaching will be given priority.
Compensation for this position will be commensurate with qualifications and will be primarily composed of fee for
service, alternative payment plan and academic productivity based compensation.
