About the role:
The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients
and families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)
is the provision of care that is respectful of, and responsive to
individual patient/family preferences, needs, and values

Under the general direction of the Vice President, Facilities,
Capital Planning and Support Services & CFO, the
Director of Support Services is responsible for the oversight and
direction of the operation of Strategic Sourcing,
Stores, Housekeeping, Laundry and Linen Services, Portering,
Nutrition Food Services and Medical Device
Reprocessing
employment requirements:
*A degree in business, health administration or related field, or
equivalent work experience and relevant leadership
experience in the health sector
*Minimum five (5) years of leadership experience at the Management
and/or Director level
Skills/Abilities:
*Strong human resource and financial management skills
*Ability to benchmark key performance indicators for services and
costs
*Possess intellectual processing skills to analyze data, identify
root causes and solve ambigous problems
*Strong planning and performance management skills
*Ability to communicate and egage with staff to achieve desired
outcomes
*Proficiency in business computer applicationsThe ability to bring
this divergent knowledge together in order to
conceptualize the total service in relations of the Hospital's
mission
Knowledge:
*Up‑to‑date knowledge of appropriate management and
human resources principles and collective agreements
*Knowledge of the Facility Operations, Occupational Health and
Safety Act and Regulations and other relevant
legislation pertinent to the role
*Knowledge of quality management systems and their importance in
the healthcare setting
Salary Range: $75.510 to 94.380
The Health Sciences Centre strives to ensure the safety and
