OPPORTUNITY

As part of Fengate’s continued growth, the Finance team is seeking a Manager, Finance (Reporting) to lead the accounting, reporting, and financial planning activities for a portfolio of income producing properties. Building on the responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst role, this position will provide leadership across reporting functions, oversee complex financial processes, and act as a key business partner to Asset Management, Property Management, Development, Treasury, and senior leadership. This role will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across financial reporting while driving process improvements and supporting strategic decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and oversee the full-cycle accounting and reporting function for Fengate’s income producing property portfolio, including internal teams and third-party service providers
  • Review and approve journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, CAM and tax recoveries, and monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including review of variance analysis and financial commentary for senior management
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting processes for assigned properties, including oversight of assumptions and value-add insights
  • Provide strategic, driver-based analysis and reporting to support decision-making across asset classes
  • Manage and review cash flow projections, investor distributions, and coordination with Treasury on debt and capital requirements
  • Support and manage year-end audit processes, including review of audit working papers and liaison with external auditors
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards and compliance processes across funds and partnership agreements
  • Identify and implement process improvements, efficiencies, and best practices across the reporting function
  • Coach, mentor, and support junior team members, fostering strong performance, development, and collaboration

Requirements

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA designation required
  • 5–8+ years of progressive experience in real estate accounting, reporting, or asset management environments
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex real estate portfolios and multi-stakeholder reporting requirements
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including ASPE, GAAP, and financial reporting standards
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to prepare professional reporting and presentation materials
  • Proven ability to lead processes, prioritize competing deliverables, and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience with Yardi or other real estate-centric ERP systems is an asset
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial information for senior leadership

PAY RANGE

The expected base pay range for this position is:

$100,000.00 - $125,000.00
