Description

Brannon Steel is looking for a Beveller Operator to work at its Brampton manufacturing location on the Night shift (11pm - 7am). From $26.66 per hour and up, PLUS up to $4 per hour in night shift premiums, based on experience.

Duties

  •  Setup, operate, and troubleshoot mechanical and oxy-fuel bevelling/trimming equipment.
  •  Grind and finish parts as needed.
  •  Handle steel parts manually and using overhead crane/hoist.
  •  Read production documents and part drawings.
  •  Use measuring instruments and gauges to check parts against specifications.
  •  Perform and document quality inspections.
  •  Complete all required documents in an accurate and timely manner.
  •  Perform all required checks and inspections.
  •  Complete assigned housekeeping activities and contribute to overall shop cleanliness and organization.

Requirements

  • Work safely.
  • Experience with flame cutting equipment.
  • 1+ years of overhead crane operator experience.
  • Understanding of carbon steel grades.
  • Attention to detail.  
  • Perform manual material handling up to 23 kgs (50 lbs).
  • Read and interpret part drawings.
  • Use basic measuring tools and power tools.
  • Speak, read, and write English at a conversational level.
  • Able to work the afternoon shift (Mon-Fri, 3pm-11pm).
