About the role:

The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients

Under the direction/guidance from the Cardiovascular
Surgical Specialist

  • CVS Data
    and the Manager of the Cardiac Cath Lab,

Pacemaker Clinic, Speciality
Visiting Clinics, Outpatient Vascular Services; the Cardiovascular (CV) Data
Quality Specialist supports

all functions of the
Cardiovascular data team. This includes collection, entry, auditing and
reporting of administrative and quality data

entered into the various
cardiovascular databases that the hospital subscribes to and participation in
quality assurance processes to

improve the services provided
to the Cardiovascular patient population, as required.

Education/Experience
:

Registered Nurse with current
unencumbered registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)

Detailed clinical knowledge of the cardiovascular
patient population that includes a broad knowledge of various procedures,
protocols, guidelines,

standards and specific terminology

Experience or participation in quality
improvement activates, knowledge of quality improvements theory and techniques

Experience in clinical data collection and
entry

Skills/Abilities:

Strong Interpersonal, written and oral
communication

Collaborative approach to problem solving
with a solution driven focus

Excellent computer skills with proficiency
in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power point and Outlook. Knowledge and
experience with Meditech

Must be able to balance multiple demands
and prioritize activities to meet simultaneous deadlines

Self-directed with the ability to work
independently and as a team member within the data team

Assets:

Previous utilization of various clinical
databases for data entry and report generation and extraction

General understanding of TBRHSC information
system is preferred, including the systems used in Health Records, Admitting,
Finance and Critical Care

Salary Range: $48.41 to $60.51
