We are looking for a Technologist to join our team in any of our offices in Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton, or Ottawa; they will be involved in a variety of new and existing buildings projects and assist in maintaining a high level of service for the Building Envelope practice at Entuitive.
The successful candidate will be responsible for drawing production in Revit related to building envelope projects. They will be working collaboratively with the project team from initial evaluation through construction completion on both existing and new construction projects. We would like to supplement our existing team with a self-motivated individual, with leadership skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team environment.
What will you do?
- Building Envelope CAD drafting and project coordination.
- Working in conjunction with the Project Principal, Project Engineer and other members of the design team to complete projects of varying size and complexity from start to finish.
- Development and maintenance of architectural drawing production standards and resources to suit the variety of project types and delivery methods typical of building envelope projects.
- Review of existing drawings and photographs to determine and create as-built construction details, plans and elevation drawings.
- Coordinate the varying responsibilities associated with managing and producing drawings for building envelope projects, including managing specific files and directories.
- Working with building envelope specialists during investigations/assessments of existing buildings, to complete quantity takeoffs from existing drawings or prepare drawings for reporting purposes.
- Participate in the delivery of consistently high level of service.
- Other responsibilities might be assigned to you from time to time.
Requirements
What do you need to succeed?
- 2-year diploma in engineering or architectural technology from accredited technical school.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in building envelopes or architectural drafting.
- Must have a working knowledge and ability to use Revit, and AutoCAD.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to work with people at all levels including project stakeholders and clients.
- Experience with programs such as MicroStation, SketchUp, Rhino are considered an asset.
- Hands-on construction or consulting experience and/or work with building envelope systems is considered an asset
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and deliverables on an ongoing basis
- A working knowledge of construction materials and products used in building construction, with a focus on building envelope systems such as glazing systems, air/vapor barrier systems, roofing assemblies, below grade waterproofing, and cladding assemblies.
- Interests in applying new technology to support project processes

- Competitive base salary: $65000 - $83000 (aligned with experience, qualifications, and education)
